Coreline Soft Launches G-BA-Compliant AI Infrastructure for German Lung Cancer Screening

From Detection to Infrastructure: Navigating Germany’s New Screening Era

As of April 2026, Germany has officially integrated Low-Dose CT (LDCT) lung cancer screening into its statutory health insurance (GKV) reimbursement framework. This transition marks a paradigm shift; it is no longer enough for an AI to be "accurate." To qualify for reimbursement under the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) guidelines, medical institutions must now adhere to strict operational standards, including mandatory AI-assisted analysis, independent double reading, and rigorous quality assurance.

For hospitals and imaging centers, the challenge has moved from the diagnostic algorithm to the "operational infrastructure." Implementing a workflow that manages inter-reader discordance, ensures GDPR-compliant data handling and sharing across multiple sites, and maintains longitudinal follow-up for thousands of patients is a significant administrative burden.

AVIEW HUB: The Operational Backbone for Compliant Screening

Coreline Soft is addressing these hurdles with AVIEW HUB, a central management platform designed specifically for national-scale screening networks. While AVIEW LCS Plus provides the standardized AI detection for lung nodules, coronary calcification, and emphysema, AVIEW HUB serves as the operational engine that supports the entire screening ecosystem.

The platform’s strength lies in its ability to automate the "G-BA compliant workflow." It manages independent worklists for first and second readers and triggers automatic consensus protocols if results differ. By providing a unified AI standard across different devices and locations, AVIEW HUB reduces inter-reader variability and ensures that every screening center—regardless of size—meets national quality benchmarks. Furthermore, its built-in data pseudonymization capabilities handles sensitive patient data in strict accordance with GDPR, allowing for secure multi-site collaboration without compromising privacy.

Live Demonstration at RöKo 2026 Congress and Global Webinar

Coreline Soft will showcase AVIEW HUB’s real-world application at the German Radiology Congress (RöKo 2026) in May. Building on successful implementations at leading institutions like Charité and Heidelberg University Hospital, the company will demonstrate how AVIEW HUB bridges the gap between diagnostic excellence and administrative compliance.

In anticipation of the congress, Coreline Soft will host a global webinar on May 5 at 6:00 PM (Germany time): “Lungenkrebs-Screening in Deutschland 2026: Vom Start der Erstattung zur interdisziplinären Versorgung.”

Moderated by Melisande Rouger, the session features a panel of distinguished experts:

This webinar provides insight into how Germany’s screening system is evolving from initial reimbursement rollout toward a fully integrated, interdisciplinary care model.
